Super Eagles’ left wing back, Elderson Uwa Echiejile, who joined Spanish La Liga , Sporting Gijon on loan from AS Monaco till the end of the season, has said he is ready for the new challenge at the club.
A statement posted on the website of the Spanish Laliga side said Echiejile is bringing both experience and class to the club. It read in part: “Elderson Echiejile is an experienced international player who, after a brief stint at Standard de Liège, has joined Sporting till the end of the 2016-2017 season, thanks to a transfer agreement with AS Monaco, owner of the player.”
Meanwhile, the former Sporting Braga defender said he is up for the challenge even as he fancies the Spanish La Liga

Echiejile is expected to land in Spain on Wednesday to carry out his medicals and join the main squad on Thursday.
The 29-year-old became Gijon’s third January signing following the capture of Mikel Vesga and Lacina Traoré before the close of the transfer window.
Elderson Echiejile joins compatriot Uche Henry Agbo in the highly rated Spanish La Liga.
