The knock sustained by Alex Iwobi to his ankle won’t keep him from partaking in training this week, according to reports emanating from the UK.
AOIfootball.com gathered that the Nigerian international will start training this week.
Iwobi raised fears of a spell on the sidelines when he posted a picture of his bandaged ankle, but it appears the damage by Sutton United’s Jamie Collins isn’t as bad as feared.
The 20-year-old Nigerian have been a mainstay in Arsenal’s first team this season, starting 21 English Premier League games for the Gunners already with more games to spare, and has put in series of impressive performances for the North London side.
Manager Arsene Wenger will be hoping the skillful Nigerian youngster who has scored 3 goals and assisted 3 will be fit in time for Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool on 4th of march, whilst Nigerians will not want him to spend time on the sidelines because they are banking on him and other youngsters to play Senegal and Burkina Faso in the international friendly matches billed for by the Nigeria Football Federation in London next month.
