Super Eagles duo of Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti shone like million stars as their Belgian side KAA Gent shocked and dumped out English Premier League top side, Tottenham Hotspurs in the second leg of their round of 32 stage of the Europa League.

Spurs had lost the first leg 1-0 in Belgium and believed they would rattle the Belgian side in the return leg Wembley Stadium, but things fell apart ,as the game finished in a 2-2 draw.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring early on before Harry Kane pressured by Moses Simon headed into his own net and Dele Alli was show and a straight red card in an eventful first half.

Victor Wanyama gave Spurs hope of a comeback with a fine strike on the hour mark, but Jeremy Perbet’s 82nd minute effort effectively ended the contest as Tottenham pushed for what would have been a crucial third goal.

Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon stood out in the encounter, while Esiti featured for the entire duration of the game, Simon was subbed out in the 75th minute.

Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of Europe 3-2 on aggregate.
