This past weekend, alot of Nigerian internationals were in action across Europe.
While the number of key members of the Super Eagles in Europe has reduced due to the switch to China, and the Chinese Super League which hasn’t begun, some others have sprung up.
Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho didn’t play over the weekend as their club’s Premier League games were rescheduled due to the participation of their opponents, Southampton and Manchester United,respectively, in the EFL Cup final.

In Belgium, Moses Simon and Troost-Ekong were unused substitutes in Gent’s 3-1 win on Sunday. But Anderson Esiti and particularly, Samuel Kalu caught the eye with breathtaking displays.
