Abia warriors captain Austin Obaroakpo has said that the club has slept off after losing back to back games against El-Kanemi Warriors and Akwa United in the space of two weeks.

The former Super Eagles’ invitee stressed that the club started the season on a very good note, but along the line, the team slept off and bad resultsstart creeping in. The defender however maintained that the team can still put an end to their recent poor run of form and save their season.

“To be honest, we have slept off after our good start to the season; we failed to keep the form we started with and now we are drawing and losing games.” Obaroakpo told aoifootball.com

“Losing to El-Kanemi last week in front of our home fans and losing to Akwa United in Uyo showed that we are just asleep.

“Now we have to try put an end to our poor formand I believe we can do it, so that we will get our season back on track”.
