Abia Warriors utility player, Seun Olulayo, who had been declared “missing” by his club on Monday, was spotted at the Ondo State Sports Complex on Sunday, the day before the said declaration, during the game between his boyhood club, Sunshine Stars of Akure and Rivers United.
The former U-23 player was allowed to travel for trials at an Egyptian club which understands to be AlMasry, and was due to return on February 19th, but has since failed to return to Umuahia.
It remains unclear if Olulayo is a target for Sunshine Stars who, according to the club, have drafted Coach Henry Abiodun to the technical crew to play an advisory role. According to a statement released on Monday, he would equally move to reunite Olulayo with the coach who first handed him a chance at the club.
The player, who left Sunshine Stars for Abia Warriors in search of greener pastures, initially has been unable to settle down in Umuahia, having spent all his professional life in the South West.
