South African referee Daniel Bennett, has been selected by the Confederation of African Football, CAF, as centre-referee for the 1st leg, second round CAF Champions League match between African football giants, Zamalek FC of Egypt and Nigerian Champions, Rangers International of Enugu.


Bennett, who is highly regarded across the continent, will work with his colleagues from South Africa, Zakhele Thusi Siwela (AR1), Sandile Dilikane (AR2) and Tinyiko Victor Hlungwani (Fourth Official).


The CAF Champions League clash between Zamalek and Rangers International will be played on the 10th of March 2017 at the Cairo International Stadium.
