Plateau United Captain, Golbe Elisha has said that his side lost 2-1 to MFM FC of Lagos on Sundaybecause of a little mistake.
In a chat with AOIFootball.com after the game, Golbe maintained that his side lost gallantly and really wanted to leave Lagos with at least a point, until they conceded the penalty which MFM converted neatly to seal the game.
The energetic defender stressed further that Plateau United are a very good side who will quickly put behind the MFM loss and move on to their next game.
“We gave them a good fight in the game; all we expected in the game didn’t really work for us. It was unfortunate that it was a little mistake that caused us to lose the match.”
“The second goal was a penalty and I can’t blame my teammate for it because it was a through pass, and any little touch in the box would have been a penalty.”
For now we are still topping the table, though we lost gallantly. We are a very good side and we will move on from the MFM defeat and look forward to our next match,” said Elisha.
