Nigeria’s Super Sand Eagles will hit their Sapo Beach Camp in Badagry this weekend to kick-start their preparations for next month’s FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Bahamas. exclusively gathered that twenty players are expected in camp and the list of invitees will soon be made public by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The team, which came second behind Senegal at last year’s CAF Beach Soccer Nations Cup in Lagos, is also scheduled to attend a four-nations’ tournament in Senegal from the 14th-17th April as part of preparations for the World Cup.
The Sand Eagles are coached by former BCC Lions of Gboko goalkeeper, Audu Adamu Ejo and have experienced players like Batholomew Ibenegbu, Isiaka Olawale, Ogbonnaya Okemiri, Victor Tale and Musa Najer, all of whom have World Cup experiences having played at the last World Cup which Nigeria participated in Italy.
The Sand Eagles are in Group B alongside Italy, Mexico and Iran and it will run from April 27th to May 7th in Nassau, Bahamas Islands.
