Super Eagles attacker, Ahmed Musa

Ahmed Musa’s decision not to quit the Super Eagles may have been influenced by his deep reminisce of how he started his football career.

Musa, who recently stepped down as the Vice Captain of the team after he was overlooked as captain when Nigeria played Senegal last week, gave serious consideration to national team retirement but reneged on that for one reason.

Musa as a kid has always nurtured the ambition of leading the national team to glory on the global stage after watching his hero Kanu Nwankwo inspire Nigeria to Olympic football gold medal in 1996.

Musa remembered his past and how he started playing football especially on the streets of Jos and Kano. The Leicester City forward posted a picture of himself eating among a group of people in a local setting on the streets of Kano and he captioned it with this message.

“Always remember where you start from, the food sweet oo”.

He had been accused of not behaving maturely but the Nigerian star seems to have put all that behind him now.
