Former international, Friday Ekpo has said that the Super Eagles must discover new talents before playing their next competitive game, so that the coaches will have more options and he will also have capable replacements for misfiring stars.
The 47-year-old retired midfielder, noted that the football house must put their act together and look for more friendly games the Super Eagles can play between now and June since Burkina Faso game could not hold on Monday due to the visa issues encountered by some Burkina Faso players.
He stressed that the NFF must either look at the side of the home-based players or organise any friendly when the European season is over to avoid country and club clashes.
“We need to discover more players; it is not too late because we can still discover them before August so that that we can plan for contingencies.”
“Had it been we played Burkina Faso on Monday, it would have been very good for us but since that did not happen, the NFF has to put their act together and look for a very good African country that we can play between now and June.”
“And the football house must either consider using the home-based lads to prosecute such friendly or take into cognizance, the European season so as to avoid clashes,” he reasoned.
