Enyimba winger, Stanley Dimgba, has said that his side vowed before their Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Enugu Rangers in Calabar, that they were not going to lose to the defending champions in the Oriental Derby.
Dimgba, in an exclusive interview with AOIfootball.com, noted that the Flying Antelopes came into the game with full force and almost overran them in the early minutes of the game, but for the sheer determination of the People’s Elephant which kept them in the game.
The former Sunshine Stars player noted further that the win over Rangers will motivate them more, and give them the zeal to push further and get more good results.
“Rangers came into the game with full force as they played us in the first half but in the second half we were determined that we are going to go out and win the game and that was exactly what did.”
“Before the game, we had already talked to ourselves, and we vowed that even if we must lose a game, it must not be to Rangers.”
“The game was a good one; I thank God for the victory. I know that beating Rangers is going to motivate us more and it will help us push further and get good more results, starting from our next game in Katsina,” Dimgba concluded.
