Akwa United winger, Michael Ibe has said that the position of his team does not speak well of them, given the kind of good football they are playing and that they need to do more in terms of getting commensurate results for their efforts.

The former national U-23 team invitee, told that after the result they got in Kano on Sunday against Pillars has spurred the players to now looking forward to ending the first round among the top five positions or above, so they can consolidate the gains.

“Our position has not spoken any good thing about us; we are playing good football but our position is not nice because I feel we should be higher than where we are now.”

“People who have watched our games live have always complained that we play better than the results we are getting; for me I think we should do more in terms of getting good results.

“Our target is for us to be among the top five at the end of this first round. I know that with just one game left, it looks difficult but I believe we can finish well,” said Ibe.
