Former Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo, has dismissed speculations that he has been contacted by any clubside in the country.

The former Enyimba Assistant coach’s contract was recently terminated by the management of the Flying Antelopes due to poor string of results.

There have been media reports he is been contacted by several clubs, including Kano Pillars and recently Bauchi-based side, Wikki Tourists.

But Amapakabo told exclusively that none of these stories are true, while insisting that the false reports may have emanated from his recent scouting tours of match venues for the Super Eagles.

“I can categorically say that no club has contacted me. Not Pillars or even Wikki Tourists. I think most people are getting it wrong and its because of my scouting job with the national team, they seem to think i’m at the particular venue to discuss with a club, especially clubs who don’t currently have managers. It’s really a shame, ” Imama said.

The Super Eagles assistant coach however declared he would make it public if he gets any job.

“When it’s time I get any job, everyone will know; for now, like I said to you before, I’m concentrating on my job with the Super Eagles,” he concluded.
