Niger Tornadoes’ Coach, Abubakar Bala has said that he is not fighting for continental ticket, despite his team’s run of form that has taken them to the 7th position on the log, six points adrift the summit of the league.

Bala told in an exclusive interview that now his team is well stabilised and he and his boys just need to keep working hard to ensure they finish in the top half of the table, to better their 11th position finish of last season.

“I am very happy my team has stabilised now. In the first few weeks of the league, my team had been struggling for stability but now, with the way we are playing, everybody can see that Niger Tornadoes is a stabilised team.

“My target is to finish among the top ten and not any continental ticket for this season.

“If continental ticket comes our way at the end of the season, we will surely take it, but that is not our primary objective for now. My target is to make sure Niger Tornadoes finish in the top half of the table, because last year we finished in the 11th position and we have to better that record this season,” he concluded.
