Super Eagles’ star, Victor Moses’ exclusion from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tie against South Africa, is due to a toe injury, can authoritatively report.


According to medical team of the Eagles, the forward told them he would be attending to a toe injury that would need surgery, hence his omission from the 23-man list by Coach Gernot Rohr for the South Africa game, authoritatively gathered.


Moses had a fantastic season with Antonio Conte’s side in the English Premier League where he featured 34 times but his last game for the Blues was the 1-2 loss to eventual FA Cup winners, Arsenal at the Wembley Stadium where he was also red carded for simulation in Arsenal’s penalty box.


Moses scored twice for the Super Eagles when he last played for the team against the Foxes of Algeria in a FIFA World Cup qualifier.
