Super Eagles’ and Leicester City forward, Ahmed Musa has said that he is happy his scoring form has returned, after scoring a brace in the team’s international friendly against the Sparrow Hawks of Togo at the Stade Municipal De Saint Leu La Foret.
The former CSKA Moscow forward struck first as early as the 3rd minute of the game before adding a second in the 17th minute of the game.
According to Musa, “the goals from me are a huge boost ahead of the cracker against South Africa and I’m happy to be back scoring.
“Wow, I’m so relieved to be back with my goals. It’s been a while I scored. I missed a couple of chances against Corsica and I regret missing them,” Ahmed told AOIFootball.com exclusively.
The former VVV Venlo speed-demon however says, there are lots of positives to pick from the win against Togo.
“The team had a fantastic time in Corsica and Paris, I must say there are a lot of positives from this camping and the friendly games too. Kudos to the Nigeria Football Federation for arranging this. Now we can fully switch to the game against South Africa, and having missed out from two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, we must qualify for this one,” the forward concluded.
The Super Eagles return to the country on Friday and will camp at the Bolton White apartments before departing for Uyo on Tuesday. They will train on Monday morning.
