Bafana Bafana of South Africa have appointed defender Thulani Hlatshwayo of Bidvest Wits as their new captain. This comes days ahead of their AFCON qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, AOIFootball.com can report.

Thulani Hlatshwayo 27, takes over the captaincy of the team from long-serving goalkeeper, Itumeleng Khune who’s position in the starting eleven is not guaranteed following the arrival of their new coach.

Thulani Hlatshwayo joined the South Africa national team in 2013 and has raked up 22 caps for Bafana Bafana since then.
