SHARE has gathered that though Arsenal had agreed a £6.8m fee with Belgian club KAS Eupen for 19-year-old NIgerian striker Henry Onyekuru, West Ham United have hijacked the deal.

According to reports in England, Onyekuru has been convinced by a move to the London Stadium.

He is set to fly to London on Tuesday for a medical if talks between the two clubs go well.

West Ham are attempting to thrash out a fee with Eupen to ensure Onyekuru bags a work permit.

Onyekuru currently falls short of work permit regulations but will qualify as an elite talent if the Hammers pay a fee in excess of £7m and hand him £35,000-a-week wages.

The hot prospect flashed up on scouting radars after netting 20 goals in all competitions last term.

Earlier this month, Onyekuru in an interview the Nigeria Football Federation website spoke positively about Arsenal’s interest.

But, according to the Daily Mail, he believes he will get more action at West Ham.
