Newly wedded Super Eagles and FC Porto defensive midfielder, Mikel Agu has said that his wife, Henrietta and son Stefano, have both brought him good luck this year with the player achieving great things since the turn of 2017, AOIFootball.com can exclusively report.
Mikel tied the nuptial knot with his beautiful spouse, Henrietta in Asaba last Saturday in the presence of friends, family, teammates and well-wishers from all over the world.
Speaking exclusively to AOIFootball.com, the FC Porto fast-rising star, who was recently invited to the Super Eagles’ camp where he has already featured twice against Corsica Island and the Sparrow Hawks of Togo, maintained that the year has been a good one for him.
“It’s been a good year for me, I must admit. The arrival of Stefano my son and the support from my wife have helped me soar like an eagle this year. It’s the year I won 3 Man of the Match awards while playing for Setubal on loan. My performance got me a renewed contract for the next four years at my parent club, FC Porto. I was also surprisingly called up into the senior national team in the same year. It’s the same year I married my friend and heartthrob, Henrietta who has been supportive in my cause for the past three years. It’s been an amazing year,” Agu said.
The midfielder is expected to depart the country in about a week to join his teammates at FC Porto for the pre-season, and has therefore said he would continue in his strides for both club and country.
