Lobi Stars Coach, Solomon Ogbeide, has optimistic his side will make it to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) soon, because they are working very hard to clinch a continental ticket, AOIFootball.com reports.

Ogbeide, whose team defeated CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Rivers United 1-0 last Sunday in an NPFL week 25 fixture in Makurdi, admitted that the race to the top in the NPFL is currently tight, as every team is jostling to maintain their spots at the summit.

“We are working hard to get to the top because at this point in time, you can see that the points between the teams on top are very tight and even the teams that are chasing are not much points away.

“I am very confident we will be there soon; now we are looking at what we need to do to make sure we get there. And we are not just wishing we get a continental ticket, we are working towards it,” Ogbeide said.
