Super Eagles and FC Granada of Spain midfielder, Uche Agbo has said that the team needs more games before they take on their Cameroonian counterparts in the double header 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September, AOIFootball.com can report.
The Eagles lost their last competitive game in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa and Agbo believes the former champions need warm-up games to ensure they blend properly to avert any such catastrophe in September, noting the quality and number of games they have played this year.
“We need to play more games before we take on Cameroon to unite us as a team and a unit. Cameroon is ahead of us in cohesion, having played together to win the Africa Cup of Nations earlier in the year, so we need unity of purpose and more warm-up games for the encounter,” the Watford bound Agbo told Brilafm.net.
The Super Eagles will lock horns against the Indomitable Lions in a double header in September and hope to consolidate on their current status in Group B of the Africa FIFA World Cup qualifying series.
