Plateau United midfielder, Ibe Johnson, has said that the club has proved all their doubters wrong after they remained top of the NPFL after playing over twenty matches.

Johnson told that the players of the Jos-based side are elated that their club currently leads the pack in the NPFL, going into the midweek fixture, stressing that they hope to remain on top till the end of the season and lift the coveted trophy.

“When we started the season, there were so many doubts about Plateau United and our abilities from different corners.

“We were not deterred by the criticisms we received, instead we are pushing and moving gradually.

“We are top now and everybody can see; we are very happy to be topping the league after the number of games played so far. I think we have proven our doubters wrong,” he said.
