The Super Eagles of Nigeria can beat current African champions, Cameroon, back-to-back in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying cracker, if they remain focused, Super Eagles midfielder Fegor Ogude has said.

Ogude, who was part of the Eagles’ team that conquered Africa in 2013, opined that the current team has the quality and depth to outshine their Cameroonian counterparts when both sides faceoff in a double header in September.

“The next game should be the team’s focus and they should forget about the loss to South Africa. They should go out there to battle against Cameroon, give a 100% and maintain focus. I believe they will win against Cameroon in the back to back games,” the Amkar Perm of Russia midfielder told

Meanwhile, Ogude is set to rejoin his teammates at Amkar Perm for the pre-season as he expects an improved display better than last season where they finished 10th on the log of the Russian Premier League.

“I hope we get new players to fortify the team and I believe if that is done, we will have a better season,” he added.
