Kano Pillars defender, Jamiu Alimi has said that Enugu Rangers were difficult opponents for his side on Sunday and they made life difficult for his team despite the Sai Masu Gida side beating the defending champions 2-0 at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The former Shooting Stars player told Aoifootball.com exclusively that the game against Rangers was a nice one for the players, expressing joy that they got all three points as the result has boosted their NPFL standings.
“It was a nice game for us all here at Pillars, we are really happy to get the maximum result on Sunday.
“Rangers is not an easy team to beat; they are like a wounded lion now because they drew their last home game. But for us to beat them, we did a lot of work in the game.
“Rangers are a very good team, and no team will want to play them and think it will be a walk in the park. They made things hard for us when we played them but we are happy we conquered them,” he concluded.
