Super Eagles striker Ahmed Musa scored his first goal of the season for Leicester City as the foxes romped to a 4-1 win over Sheffield United in the EFL Cup at Bramall Lane stadium.

It was the former CSKA Moscow forward’s first competitive game this season, and he marked it with a goal. Demarai Gray opened scoring for the former English champions in the 52nd  minute before Algerian striker Islam Slimani got a brace in the 62nd and 67th minutes of the game. The home side gave a fight and scored in the 83rd minute only for the former VVV Venlo speedster to hit Leicester’s number 4.

Musa has just been invited for the Super Eagles back to back FIFA World Cup qualifying games against Cameroon in September.
