Super Eagles’ Coach, Gernot Rohr, has urged football- loving Nigerians to trust the choices of goalkeepers invited for the all-important clash against Cameroon.

The Franco – German told in Abuja that the pressure Nigerian fans are putting on the goalkeepers is too much and they should be allowed to concentrate on the big games coming up in Uyo and Yaoundé.

Rohr said: “You know that we are unfortunate with our goalkeepers, one is sick (Ikeme) the other is injured (Enyeama) and he is just recovering, may be later we can have him, but it’s too early for him to make a comeback.”

He futher revealed that we have to work with the three goal keepers, Akpeyi, Alampasu and Ezenwa who was fantastic against Benin in Kano.

“These shot stoppers have been with us for a while and they understand the philosophy of the team.

“There are two goalkeeper trainers now and I am confident they have what it takes to make the right selection for the match against Cameroon.

“Enrico is a fantastic coach and his experience will help the team. He and Agu have already started working well, as you can see in the game in Kano. So we are good to go,” Rohr said.
