Head Coach of Nigeria Professional League club, Plateau United, Kennedy Boboye, has attributed his team’s amazing run in the League to hard work and discipline.

Boboye, who spoke to from his team’s base in Jos, said “hard work and discipline have been the reason for our fantastic season”, stressing that he must also commend the entire people of Plateau State and Governor Simon Lalong for his wonderful support and passionate dedication to the team.

The Plateau Manager further added that the Governor and the management of the football club have made sure that no player on the team is being owed a dime.

“They are paid as at when due, including all match bonuses; if you win a match, you get your bonuses in the dressing room, so I see no reason why they should not be fully charged to deliver for the team,” Boboye said.

When asked of his team’s preparedness ahead of Sundays NPFL clash against Rivers United, the ex-Super Eagles’ striker said: “We have moved on from last week’s loss against ABS. I have studied the lapses and made the necessary adjustments and the team is fully focused ahead of the Rivers game. We know it is a must-win if we really want to win the league and we shall not disappoint our loving fans.”

Plateau United are currently top of the Nigeria Professional Football League with 62 points from 35 games, 3 points adrift of close challengers, MFM of Lagos who are on 59 points.
