Sam Allardyce has been installed as the early favourite to take over from Craig Shakespeare as Leicester City manager.

The out-of-work former England manager is 3/1 to take over at the King Power Stadium, reports.

Allardyce was interviewed by the BBC at the weekend and ruled himself out of the Scotland job, but said he wasn’t against eventually returning to management.

He was asked whether that meant he was waiting for a job at a Premier League club, but did not answer the question.

Allardyce is the former manager of Sunderland, West Ham, Blackburn, Newcastle and Bolton and is famed for never being relegated.

Big Sam, who will be 63 on Thursday, left Crystal Palace in May 2017 saying he had no intention of taking another job.
