Super Eagles’ forward, Ahmed Musa is hopeful he would be favoured under Caretaker Coach of his club Leicester City, Michael Appleton, reports.

The 24-year-old struggled to get a look-in under former coach Craig Shakespeare with his only appearance in the Carabao Cup for the Foxes, a game Musa scored his only goal so far this season and which the team won against Sheffield Wednesday.

The former CSKA Moscow of Russia forward has scored five times in 33 appearances in all competitions for the former EPL champions.

Appleton is expected to hold the fort as the board plans to name Shakespeare’s successor in a matter of days.

They play Swansea City on Saturday at the Liberty Stadium.
