Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club (MFM) will begin full preparations for the 2017/18 Nigeria Professional Football League season on Monday, reports.

Coach of the club, Fidelis Ilechukwu, who disclosed this, said his team will be in a closed camp ahead of the new season and Gold Cup Tourney in Ilorin.

“Preparation will resume fully for the new season on Monday; both old and new players are expected to come together and we will be there for some weeks before leaving Ijebu-Ode for another phase of closed camping and from there to Ilorin where we will take part in the Gold Cup Tournament,” the tactician stated.

However, Ilechukwu disclosed the moving forward of all trainings to the Agege Stadium where MFM will play their home matches next season.

MFM will square up against Lobi Stars, Kwara United, Kano Pillars and Ebedei FC at the Gold Cup tourney slated for November.

The club finished 2nd with 62 points in the 2016/2017 NPFL season, closely behind Plateau United who won the league with 63 points after 38 games. Both teams qualified to feature in continental games.
