In a bid to fortify his team ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has appointed former international Victor Agali who has a UEFA B licence as his scout, can confirm.

The Franco-German, who confirmed the news to Nice-based newspaper Nice-Martin, said he was impressed with the former Nice player’s contribution throughout the Super Eagles’ qualifying campaign though he kept his involvement personal.

Agali, who worked with Rohr throughout the qualifiers in the capacity of scouting opposition teams and helping identify Nigerian players abroad, has now been officially named ahead of the mundial next year.

Agali played under Rohr at French side OGC Nice in the 2004-2005 season, scoring six goals in 30 appearances.

It is understood that Gernot Rohr is looking at the possibilities of engaging more ex-internationals to enable him build a formidable team for the country ahead of the World Cup in Russia 2018.
