VFL Wolfsburg forward, Victor Osimhen is not losing hope on a FIFA World Cup chance despite recent snubs by Super Eagles’ handlers, the player’s manager, Ariyo Igbayilola has said.

Osimhen has had a difficult slow start to his career in Germany and is hoping and working hard to see the tide swing to his favour in the colours of ‘Die Wolfe’.

In a chat with, Osimhen’s manager, Ariyo Igbayilola believes Super Eagles Coach Gernot Rohr will give the former youth international another chance to prove his mettle for an opportunity at the biggest soccer showpiece billed to be staged in Russia next June.

“I know our German coach has been very fair in his selections and I believe he will still give Osimhen another chance ahead of the World Cup,” he said.

Speaking on the lack of playing time for the player at his club, Igbayilola maintained that Osimhen will have his chance at Wolfsburg.

“He has always been on the match day squad. I believe very soon he will have his chance, everything is just about time,” Igbayilola maintained.

Osimhen has enjoyed call ups to the Super Eagles in the past under Rohr. He debuted for the Eagles in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game against South Africa in June.
