Nigerian champions, Plateau United, have been handed a draw in the
preliminary round of the 2017/2018 CAF Champions League as they will
face Eding Sport FC of Cameroon in Jos, reports.

The draws for the Champions League and the CAF Confederations Cup were done on Wednesday at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo. The matches will be played between February 9-11 and 20-21, 2018.

Nigeria ’s other Champions League representatives, MFM FC, also face
a tough challenge against Mali’s B,  in the preliminary round in Lagos.

However, the Olukoya Boys will tackle any club that finishes in second place in the ongoing Malian Professional league in the first leg.

Meanwhile, in the second tier of the continental club competitions, Akwa United were pitted against Gambia’s Hawks FC. The 2017 AIETO Cup
winners will host the first leg of the preliminary round encounter in Uyo.

Nigeria ’s other Confederation Cup representatives, three-time African champions, Enyimba, are drawn Bye, and will face the winner of the tie between the representative of the Benin Republic (yet to be determined) and Haifa (of Guinea) in the Round of 32 of the 2018 CAF
Confederations Cup.
