Osun United Football Club have announced its training schedule for the selection and recruitment of new players into the team for the 2018 Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign, AOIFootball.com reports.
On the schedule, which was released on Wednesday, the camp will be open for trials on new players who seek to join the club.
“Starting from January 3 to 9, the training camp of the team, which is at the Fountain University Sports Complex, will be opened to players to come and tryout themselves for placements in the team.
“Some invited players too will be coming for tryouts between Janaury 10 and 19, to fight for a place in the Osun United team,” the club disclosed.
The club said that at the end of the training and tryout sessions, selected players would be recruited to join other remaining players in the Osun United squad.
“After the screening, the club will make the official list of the team’s players known at the end of the month,” the club added.
The newly-selected and old players would be the ones to prosecute the club’s vision, mission and goal of gaining promotion to the Premier League division from the NNL, according to the club.
Shamsudeen hinted that Adebayo Adesina, would continue as Head Coach of the team, as he had been promoted from assistant coach and confirmed as head coach, after Duke Udi left the club halfway into the 2016/17 league season.
Osun United FC ended the 2016/17 NNL season in the seventh position and are aiming for the top three positions in the 2018 NNL season, in order to regain promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).
