Enugu Rangers Coach Gbenga Ogunbote has attributed his team’s 2-0 loss on Sunday to AITEO champion Akwa United as ill luck.
Speaking to exclusively, Ogunbote said his team played very well but luck was not on their side.
He reiterated that the result of the match did not reflect the performance on the field of play as he maintained that his team played better.
“So I can say my team did not lose due to poor performance. We played good football but luck was not on our side,” he said.
“Rangers will bounce back,” Ogunbote told
Ahead of Rangers home tie against Lobi Stars on Wednesday, Ogunbote stated that they will correct all the lapses noticed in their loss to Akwa United.
“We want to make amends in the areas we made mistakes in the last game. We will be looking for a turning point. That’s what we are looking to achieve against Lobi Stars.” he concluded.
