Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play five pre-world cup friendly matches against the senior national teams of Poland, Serbia, DR Congo, England and Czech Republic as preparation for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation made the announcement at a press conference in Lagos, on Wednesday morning.
Gernot Rohr’s side will face Poland on 23 March and Serbia four days later, before the home fixture against DR Congo in Abuja on 28th May.
NFF President Amaju Pinnick also re-announced that the three-time African Champions will trade tackles with Gareth Southgate’s World Cup-bound Three Lions of England at the Wembley Stadium on June 2 before traveling to Austria for their final warm-up match against Serbia on June 6.
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr will name his final 23-man roster for the World Cup after the friendly against the Three Lions.
The Super Eagles will be making a sixth appearance at the World Cup tournament in Russia.
