Nigerian international Ahmed Musa will have to wait till the last day of the transfer window if he’s to end his 18 month nightmarish stay at the King Power Stadium.
Despite an agreement reached between Leicester City and CSKA Moscow over the transfer of the Nigerian at the weekend, the player’s move is yet to be confirmed.
However, scooped that a protracted transfer of fellow Nigerian Aaron Samuel could be the stumbling block of the deal.
Sources in the Russian capital revealed that Samuel, who has struggled to get playing time at CSKA Moscow, is keen on a move to the Major League Soccer during the winter transfer window, with the Club wanting to offload the player before bringing in their former talisman, Musa. also scooped that CSKA Moscow will take Musa on an initial loan deal with an option to buy the player outrightly during the next summer transfer window for a lesser fee they received when he joined the then EPL champions.
The 25- year- old scored 45 goals in 125 appearances for Moscow between 2012-2016 where he won three league titles, one Russian Cup and three Super Cups and will be keen to return to Russia ahead of the World Cup.
