Former Nigerian junior international, Gbenga Arokoyo has quit Major League Soccer (MLS) to return to Sweden, where he has signed a three-year contract with Kalmar FF, reports.

The former Nigeria U-20 star started his career overseas in Sweden with Mjalby AIF in 2012.

“Arokoyo underwent a medical examination on Wednesday and has joined his new teammates in training camp,” the official statement from the Allsvenskan side said.

“Gbenga is a player who knows the league very well and has done well during his time there,”said manager Thomas Andersson-Borstam.
