Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho was on from the start and provided an assist as Leicester City were held to a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium by a resurgent Swansea City in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

Iheanacho, who was however replaced by Demarai Gray on 68 minutes, started the game alongside Eagles teammate Wilfred Ndidi.

Leicester took the lead in the 17th minute through Jamie Vardy who was smartly teed up by Iheanacho.

Iheanacho should have doubled Leicester’s lead on 34 minutes but saw his goal-bound strike cleared off the line by Alfie Mawson after Fousseni Diabate’s initial shot was brilliantly saved by Lukasz Fabianki.

In the 53rd minute, Swansea were back on level terms thanks to Federico Fernandez who headed in from a corner.

Leicester are now eighth on 35 points in the league table with Swansea occupying 17th on 24 points.
