Super Eagles’ midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has showered praises on teammate Kelechi Iheanacho, after the Nigerian came off the bench to inspire the Foxes to a 4-1 drubbing of bottom-placed West Brom, reports.

Iheanacho had come on for Shinji Okazaki after the hour mark and quickly made an impact two minutes later to setup Riyadh Mahrez for the Foxes’ second goal before scoring his first league goal in 14 months, after heading home on a Ben Chiwell’s cross in the 75th minute.

Ndidi tweeted afterwards: “Back to winning ways and congrats to my guy on his goal and assist @67Kelechi. Thanks to the fans for their great support.”

Both players are expected to play a prominent role in Nigeria’s quest for glory in Russia after being named in the Super Eagles’ 28-man list for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia on March 23 and 27 in Wroclaw and London, respectively
