New Sunshine Stars’ Coach, Henry Abiodun is confident he can set the Akure-based team back to winning ways.
Abiodun, who was put in charge on temporary basis told that this weekend’s game against Yobe Desert Stars will be a perfect moment to turn their season around.
“The situation we find ourselves in right now is unfortunate but we know we can do better and I am confident we will change the situation very soon.
“The league is a marathon, not a sprint. We are very hopeful and have a strong belief that the new mentality will bring positive results to the team,” Abiodun said.
He went further by urging the fans not to relent in their support for the team, but to keep believing and praying for them to succeed.
“Our fans have been on the receiving end mostly because they have come all out to always support the team.
“They should continue in their massive support for their darling team. Starting from this weekend, they will have something to cheer,” Abiodun concluded.
Sunshine Stars are currently 17th on the NPFL log with 13 points and will host Yobe Desert Stars in Akure on Sunday.
