Hapoel Be’er Sheva midfielder, John Ogu is excited to hit Super Eagles’ Camp after scoring for his side in their Israeli league championship playoffs over the weekend against Bnei Yehuda at the Yaakov Turner Toto Stadium.
Ogu got the game’s only goal after 31 minutes and told in an exclusive chat that he will now shift his attention to Nigeria’s upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia, respectively.
A highly elated Ogu said: “It was great to be on the score sheet, but most importantly, I was happy we won the game. Obviously, I will now turn my attention to representing my country.
“I will leave for camp today (Monday) night, my flight is by 8:20 pm so I should be with the rest of the squad before midnight.”
Ogu’s teammates, Odion Ighalo, John Obi Mikel, and others are expected to hit camp tonight or latest Tuesday morning as well.
