Former Coach of Sudanese side Al-Khartoum Watani SC Emmanuel Amuneke has warned Nigerian CAF Confederation’s Cup campaigners, Akwa United to be wary of the attack of their next opponent, Al-Hilal of Sudan as they faceoff in the final round of the competition.

Amuneke, who until Monday was head coach of the Sudanese side, posited that former Kano Pillars winger Azeez Shobowale, who joined the club a season and a half ago, poses a big threat to the Abdul Maikaba- led team, and that if they must qualify for the group stage of the competition, they must be ready to play attacking football from the blast of the whistle.

“Akwa United will have to prepare adequately to beat Al-Hilal. The strength of the team lies in the attack, especially the wing led by that Nigerian player, Azeez Shobowale. He is really good and Akwa must prepare to contain him,” Amuneke told AOIFootball.com exclusively.

Amuneke also revealed that the weak point of the Sudanese outfit is their left wing-back position.

“Their weak point, as I evaluated is the left-back position because the player occupying that position loves to join the attack a lot and he is slow in retracting back to the defence. I think they can employ proper tactics to upstage them,” he concluded.
