Super Eagles’ captain, John Obi Mikel has posited that Tuesday night’s defeat in the hands of Serbia should be seen as an avenue to learn and improve the team, AOIFootball.com reports.

Mikel, who missed Nigeria’s World Cup warm-up games against Poland and Serbia through work permit issues, hopes to be back for the country’s three remaining fixtures against Congo, England and Czech Republic, continue building a formidable team for the Russia World Cup.

“You don’t lose, you learn. Looking forward to being back on the pitch for our remaining preparation games #SoarSuperEagles,” Mikel posted.

Nigeria will next square up against fellow African opposition Congo on the 25th of May before taking on England and the Czech Republic on the 2nd and 5th of June, respectively, after which the team will go into closed camping ahead of their first game of the World Cup against Croatia on the 16th of June.
