Ahead of the CAF Confederations Cup first leg final round qualifier against Algeria’s USM Algier, head coach of Plateau United Kennedy Boboye is confident his boys will not disappoint the people of Plateau and Nigerians.
Boboye, who spoke to exclusively, said his team has learnt from their CAF Champions League match against Etoile Du Sahel and will work on their lapses ahead of Sunday’s clash.
“Well, first I want to say we are really working hard to get into the main draw; we have come so far and we want to complete the job against USM.
“It won’t be an easy clash for both teams but our first leg result will be very important for us. Obviously, we have to go all out for a win and make sure they don’t score us so we can have an advantage going into the second leg,” Boboye said.
On why his side chose the Agege Stadium in Lagos for the clash after not been cleared to use the new Jos Stadium, the Flying Eagles gaffer said the pitch will suit and them better than the natural grass in Uyo.
The reigning NPFL champions will host USM Algiers at the Agege Stadium on Sunday 8, with the return leg built for the 17-18 of April in Algiers.
