Super Eagles’ and UD Las Palmas midfielder, Oghenekharo Etebo has returned to training following an ankle injury that ruled him out for three weeks, thus making him missing Nigeria’s crucial world cup build-up matches against Poland and Serbia, AOIFootball.com reports.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who has been instrumental in Las Palmas’ survival hopes, returned to first team training on Tuesday afternoon, ahead of his club’s weekend game away to Malaga.

Etebo got injured in Las Palmas’ 2-0 loss to Villarreal last month and was forced to sit out key fixtures in the LaLiga against Real Madrid and Deportivo.

His return will, however, be a massive boost for the team as they hope to play themselves out of the relegation zone.
