Former Super Eagles’ forward, Garba Lawal, has said that the World Cup experience of the trio Ahmed Musa, Captain Mikel John Obi and Ogenyi Onazi, will count for the Gernot Rohr-tutored side at the World Cup in Russia.

In an exclusive chat with AOIFootball.com, the former Roda JC Kerkrade winger opined that the three players have what it takes to carry the team as far as they can go in Russia.

“You know you can’t buy experience, that is why I believe that the experience Musa, Mikel, Omeruo, and Onazi had in Brazil will come a long way for the team when they go to battle in Russia.

“I think we should not bother about how the team is performing at the moment and I believe they will have good time to blend at their camp base in Austria,” he said.

The Super Eagles will lock horns against DR Congo on 28th May before filing out in a prestige clash against the Three Lions of England at the Wembley Stadium, before their final preparatory game against the Czech Republic in Austria.
