Nigerian international and NPFL 2017 goal king, Anthony Okpotu has been handed a chance by Danish league leaders Brondby after going on trial with the club, AOIFootball.com reports.
The Lobi Stars forward, who had always maintained that only a good move will tempt him away from the Makurdi club, remained in the country after his last season heroics in the NPFL, representing the country at both the WAFU and CHAN tournaments, which the country finished second in both.
Okpotu was named in the Brondby squad for Tuesday’s reserve team clash against FC Copenhagen and will get a chance to impress Head Coach Alexander Zoringer when he features with the first team training later today.
AOIFootball.com further scooped that Brondby is not the only Danish club after Okpotu’s signature, as FC Midtjylland are also keen on getting the Nigerian Premier League goal king.
