Super Eagles’ forward, Kayode Olanrewaju was among the goal scorers for holders Shakhtar Donetsk as they kept alive their chances of a league and cup double after their 5-1 thumping of Mariupol, reports.

The on-loan Manchester City striker, who was starting his first game since joining on loan, scored his side’s fourth goal with a well-taken finish in the 74th minute after strikes from Taison (8, 45) and Marlos (38) had put the Ukrainian cup holders 3-1 up.

Ivan Petryak completed the thrashing with nine minutes left to send Shakhtar Donetsk to the final where they will square up against bitter rivals Dynamo Kiev which trounced Dnipro 4-1.

Kayode has now scored two goals in three matches for the Ukrainian champions as he bids to force his way into Coach Gernot Rohr’s World Cup plans.
